Robertsbridge

Access at Northbridge Street

(TN32 5NY. O.S. Ref. 738 241)

Left hand bank downstream.

Meets water upstream of Salehurst.

Park next to bridge over river.

RFA signs on gate and on disused railway bridge near road.

Salehurst

Access near Salehurst Church

(TN32 5PH. O.S. Ref. 751 238)

Parking by church. Entry via path on right hand side of church down to river.

Downstream of bridge, left hand bank and upstream right hand bank to Robertsbridge.

Alternative access from A21 Robertsbridge by-pass

 

Udiam

Access at bridge, on B2244 Junction Rd

(TN32 5XD. O.S. Ref. 783 254)

Downstream of bridge, left hand bank  for one field, to the weir, and upstream right hand bank to Salehurst.

Difficult parking, but space is available at the Park Farm campsite, (TN32 5XA) Please inform the manager on arrival.

Bodiam

Access at Bodiam Bridge (TN32 5UA. O.S. Ref. 783 254). Downstream, right hand bank, one field opposite castle only with about 40 yards below Castle Inn garden excluded;. Upstream right hand bank to Udiam Bridge. Parking can be a problem in the middle of the day on the road but, early or late, the lay bye is usually available and up to 2 RFA members can park free of charge in the castle car park by showing their RFA sticker to the car park attendant, by courtesy of the National Trust. The water is clearly signposted with RFA signs, upstream and downstream. The water is deeper and slower flowing below the bridge and bream can be expected in catches.
