SOUTHDOWN AA MEMBERSHIP NOW FULL
Due to the coronavirus restrictions with fishing being a permitted activity and persons having more free time on their hands,
nationally there has been an unprecedented upsurge in people going fishing which has reflected on the membership numbers of the Southdown A A, such that we are now full and regrettably unable to accept any new members for this current membership year,
1st May 2020 to 30th April 2021.
Applications for the next membership year, 1st May 2021 to
30th April 2022 should be available from around the beginning of April and this website will be updated as soon as everything is in place.
The Association membership year runs from the 1st May to the following 30th April and membership is available to all, there being six paying membership categories:
Full member: Those aged 18 to 64 on 1st May.
Senior Citizen: Those aged 65 and over on 1st May.
Disabled member: Those in possession of a concessionary disabled rod licence
issued by the Environment Agency.
Young member: Those aged 14 to 17 on 1st May.
Junior member: Young persons up to the age of 13 on 1st May.
Parent/Guardian Member (Non Fishing). A non fishing parent or guardian of a
junior member, accompanying and responsible for that junior when fishing on Association waters.
A joining fee is applied to all new members, i.e. those who were not members in the previous membership year. This does not apply to Young, Non-Fishing and Junior Members. Please note that we no longer offer Spouse/Partner membership.
All members must be in possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Licence (where applicable), when fishing Association waters.
Juniors must be accompanied by a responsible adult member when fishing on Association waters.
