EXCHANGE PERMITS

 

The Southdown A.A. have exchange permit arrangements with several other local and not so local angling clubs, giving members the opportunity to fish other waters in the area.

 

These permits are only available between 16th June and the following 14th March and are held by the Polegate Angling Centre in Eastbourne (tel: 01323 486379).

They may be collected during normal shop opening hours and must be returned to the shop immediately after use.

 

The member’s SAA membership card will be required as deposit to ensure safe return of the exchange permit.

 

The exchange ticket scheme offers Southdown members a vast amount of different venues in Sussex and Kent. Organizations currently participating include:

 

Ouse Angling Preservation Society. Waters on the Sussex Ouse.

 

Tonbridge Angling and Fish Preservation Society. Waters on the River Medway and lakes in the Tonbridge district in Kent.

 

Hastings, Bexhill and District Freshwater Angling Club. Fishing on the River Rother and various lakes on the Sussex / Kent border.

 

Hassocks and District Angling Society. Fishing on the Sussex Ouse, the River Adur in West Sussex and various lakes in both East and West Sussex.

 

Seaford Angling Club. Various lakes in the Ouse valley and a stretches of the Pevensey and Wallers Havens.

CALLEN CROWNED BRITISH PIKE CHAMPION (Wed, 14 Nov 2018)
The Angling Trust British Pike Championships was fished in some unseasonably warm conditions on Whittlesey AA's Glassmoor Bank and the main 20ft drain. A great turnout of over 170 anglers competed in this year’s final, which has hotly contested with several specimen pike being banked.
